Theme of the month :
Spring
Curriculum highlights
Hello parents. Here is our monthly blogger.
For this month our main focus was on spring: the lovely bugs that we encountered for that month. Mainly it was to build appropriate vocabulary in line with the theme for the week!
Saturday May 10th - Bees
Bees are such lovely buzzing little bugs that are adorable but can be dangerous if you upset them. On the upside, we were learning their wonderful characteristics , how they work hard for us to get honey! Hence the saying, " As busy as a bee! " Our graduations got to learn different terms like pollen, honeycomb, bee, boy, beehive and nectar.
They did a matching activity of the words to meaning and also a bee craft.

Saturday May 17th - Worms
I know we don't like to see Worms and the first thing we think is "eeew" but they do so much for the soil and our precious plants. We learnt that Worms are the ones that give our soil nutrients. The whole time they were closing their eyes when they saw worms packed, but no worries they learnt something. We made a craft and completed comprehension work as well.

Saturday May 31st - Caterpillars
Now this is a really interesting insect. So for this day, we learnt about a caterpillar and how it evolved to becoming a butterfly. We had to learn the Life cycle of a butterfly to fully understand how it changes. Moreover, we made a craft for a life cycle and we enjoyed it. We had to wrap our lessons with some very verbs they had to answer and make sentences as well.
